Welcome to the virtual home of SPECS (Sherre Padgett Education Consulting Services). Established in 2010, SPECS is a
multi-dimensional educational services company dedicated to utilizing our experience and perspective to empower success for our clients. Our services include academic tutoring (Grades K-12 and college-level), college and career preparation, an ACT Prep Intensive Course for pre-college students, a GRE Prep Course for pre-graduate school students, and out-of-school time (afterschool and summer) programs, including SPECS Whiz Kids, Afterschool Homework Help, and SPECS Summer Prep Academy. We also empower pre-elementary students to excel in school in SPECS Pre-K Academy. In addition to services provided to students, we provide staff development and training services and CEU for professionals and paraprofessionals. Simply put, empowering our clients for success is what we love to do!

Exam Prep
(ACT, SAT, GRE)
SPECS is excited to offer exam preparation for the ACT and SAT. Although preparation assistance is available for both exams, due to the popularity of the ACT in the regions most serviced by SPECS, most of our advertising and statistics are relative to the ACT. In fact, Alabama is one of 12 ACT-required states, meaning all high school juniors are required to take the ACT.
SPECS has assisted countless numbers of students in preparation for the ACT, through private tutoring, ACT Intensive Boot Camps, and ACT Extended Boot Camps.
SPECS often partners with organizations, high school systems, and universities to provide ACT Prep services to students in their school systems or serviced through their various programs. SPECS currently enjoys long standing relationships with many high school systems and colleges, such as our yearly commitment with The College of Agriculture, Environment, & Nutrition Sciences at Tuskegee University with Dr. Olga Bolden-Tiller, to provide ACT Prep Services for high school students from all over the country who are participating in their yearly summer program.
We were selected by the Office of the Provost at Auburn University to provide ACT Prep training and instruction for their Inaugural College Gateway Program. The Office of Inclusion & Diversity at Auburn University has chosen SPECS to provide ACT Prep for their College Prep Summer Academy in the summer of 2018.
Our founder, Sherre Padgett, was honored to be selected by ACT Inc., as a consultant, along with other prominent ACT Prep providers across the country, regarding ACT Preparation and other ACT related matters.
Many nursing school programs have turned to the ACT as an acceptance requirement. This has afforded SPECS the opportunity to assist in preparing many college students for the ACT in order to be admitted to nursing school. We have even had the honor of tutoring several older individuals that had been out of school for quite some time, but were changing careers and needed an ACT score that would qualify them for their chosen nursing school.
SPECS also provides GRE (Graduate Records Exam) Preparation for college students interested in attending graduate school. We also partner with colleges and universities to provide GRE preparation, such as our
long-standing relationship with Dr. Shaikh Zainuddin of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Tuskegee University. We have been providing GRE prep for their TU Research Experience for Undergraduates for several years.
GRE Prep services have now expanded to include several colleges within Tuskegee University. We also serve students at Auburn University and Tennessee Technical University.
The availability of our popular ACT and GRE Prep Bootcamp on our new video-based learning platform, B.O.S.S. Learning, will expand our reach even more!

SPECS Services Go Online!
SPECS Academic Services are now accessible online. We deliver the same high-quality services that our clients have known for years by utilizing online meeting platforms, such as Zoom. SPECS founder and C.E.O., Mrs. Sherre Padgett states, "I am very excited that we still get to serve our students by expanding our use of this technology while maintaining safety, accessibility, and quality. We have done private tutoring, test prep boot camps, and live classes online successfully so far."
SPECS is now available to anyone, anywhere there is an online connection. That's SPECS-TACULAR!!
SPECS ON PACE TO EXPAND SERVICES
SPECS has announced plans to expand current services into other areas within the state of Alabama, beginning with the Prattville and Montgomery areas. Although SPECS currently serves students throughout Alabama, as well as other states, the core services provided by SPECS on a consistent basis have been primarily available only in Tallassee, Alabama.
